Due to the success of courses aimed at local authority property lawyers three new series of courses are to be offered to Local Authority Lawyers for 2021

Drafting Commercial Property Documents

A series of three webinars to be delivered in January 2021 exploring common drafting issues in commercial documents exploring complying with S2 LP(MC) A 1989, good faith clauses, limitation and exclusion clauses , and other commonly encountered provisions.

The webinars will also explore attestion issues including the use of electronic signatures and will highlight problem areas and recent case law

Cost £100.00 plus VAT per delegate

Options and Overage

A series of three webinars to be delivered in February 2021 examining the use of option agreements in commercial conveyancing. The webinars will consider negotiating option agreements, key clauses, triggering options and tips to avoid problems.

The webinars will also examine the use of overage clauses exploring problem areas and how methods to protect overage.

Conveyancing Issues for Local Authority Support Staff

A series of twelve webinars starting in January 2021 aimed at explaining the conveyancing process for support staff in the legal or estates department of local authorities or other organisations .

The webinars will take staff through the conveyancing process to explain the legal process in a sale and purchase transactions. The course is suitable for anyone that is new to the conveyancing process and who wants to increase their knowledge of law and procedure.

Delegates will learn about the conveyancing process, documents encountered in residential and commercial sales and purchases and some of the problems and pitfalls associated with modern conveyancing practice .

Delegates will be provided with an extensive course manual and each webinar will include an opportunity for questions

The webinars will be delivered by Ian Quayle an experienced trainer and practioner with over 18 years experience of delivering conveyancing training courses to the legal profession.

The course aims to upskill support staff so that they can take a more active role in the conveyancing process, augment training for staff undertaking CILEX or other qualifications, and to provide essential background knowledge to anyone working in the legal department of any local authority , county council or other organisations.
