Basic Highway Law – Online Course
A ‘whistle stop tour’ – suitable for highway engineers, rights of way officers, lawyers and developers. The course will cover:
- What is a ‘highway’?
- The creation of highways
- Development and highways: ‘Section 38’ and ‘Section 278’ agreements
- Diverting & stopping up highways
- Obstructions of the highway
- Vegetation/Trees and the highway
- Public rights of way
This course is aimed at newly qualified highway officers, lawyers and consultants, more experienced professionals who are looking for a quick refresher, and developers and councillors who are new to highway law.
The course will take roughly two hours to complete.
