 This second webinar will explore –

  • Land Registration Issues and commercial leases – registration, noting, overriding leases and exempt information
  • Drafting leases – which format to use
  • Problem clauses – repair, alienation, user and alterations
  • Key clauses for landlord
  • Key clauses for tenant

Webinar 3 – 5th December 2024, 3.30pm – 4.30pm:

This third webinar will explore commercial lease management issues including –

  • Problems with disrepair
  • An overview of rent review
  • Dealing with surrender from the perspective of the landlord and tenant
  • Break clauses – tips and traps
  • How should transactional property lawyers deal with potential litigation

Webinar 4 – 12th December 2024, 3.30pm – 4.30pm:

 The fourth and final webinar will deal with an overview of business lease renewal. Using two case studies aimed at local authority lawyers it will examine –

  • The mechanics and practicalities of contracting out
  • An overview of issues when the tenant holds over
  • Tips and traps when negotiating new leases
  • An overview of the litigation process

Extensive notes will be provided for each webinar and time will be set aside for delegate questions.
